On June 16, 2026, the Egyptian Cultural and Educational Bureau (ECEB) in Washington, D.C. facilitated a virtual meeting bringing together representatives from UC Davis College of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences (UC Davis Ag), the U.S. Embassy in Egypt, and the Egyptian Cultural and Educational Bureau to discuss opportunities for collaboration in the field of agriculture.

The meeting focused on exploring potential areas of cooperation between UC Davis and Egyptian higher education and research institutions, particularly in agricultural education, scientific research, sustainable agriculture, food security, water resource management, agricultural innovation, and capacity building.

Participants exchanged perspectives on current priorities and discussed opportunities to develop academic partnerships, joint research initiatives, faculty and student exchanges, professional training programs, and knowledge-sharing activities that can contribute to addressing agricultural challenges and advancing sustainable development.

The discussion also highlighted the importance of strengthening ties between Egyptian and U.S. institutions to support innovation, agricultural productivity, and the development of future generations of agricultural scientists and professionals.

قام المكتب الثقافي والتعليمي المصري بواشنطن يوم 16 يونيو 2026 بتنسيق اجتماع افتراضي جمع ممثلين عن كلية الزراعة والعلوم البيئية بجامعة كاليفورنيا ديفيس (UC Davis Ag) والسفارة الأمريكية في مصر والمكتب الثقافي والتعليمي المصري بواشنطن، وذلك لبحث فرص التعاون المشترك في المجال الزراعي.

وتناول الاجتماع استكشاف مجالات التعاون المحتملة بين جامعة كاليفورنيا ديفيس ومؤسسات التعليم العالي والبحث العلمي المصرية، خاصة في مجالات التعليم الزراعي، والبحوث العلمية، والزراعة المستدامة، والأمن الغذائي، وإدارة الموارد المائية، والابتكار الزراعي، وبناء القدرات.

كما ناقش المشاركون فرص تطوير شراكات أكاديمية وبحثية، وإطلاق مشروعات بحثية مشتركة، وبرامج لتبادل الطلاب وأعضاء هيئة التدريس، وبرامج تدريبية متخصصة تسهم في مواجهة التحديات الزراعية وتعزيز التنمية المستدامة.

وأكد الحضور أهمية تعزيز التعاون بين المؤسسات المصرية والأمريكية للاستفادة من الخبرات العلمية المتقدمة وتطوير الحلول المبتكرة التي تدعم القطاع الزراعي وتسهم في إعداد كوادر مؤهلة قادرة على مواجهة التحديات المستقبلية.
