On September 25, 2026, the Egyptian Cultural and Educational Bureau in Washington, D.C., facilitated a meeting between Matrouh University and Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU) to explore opportunities for academic and research collaboration.

The discussion focused on two key areas: Nursing, AI, and Agriculture, with both universities exploring potential avenues for cooperation, including academic programs, faculty and student exchange, capacity building, and collaborative research.

The meeting represents another step toward strengthening institutional partnerships between Egyptian and U.S. universities and creating sustainable opportunities for knowledge exchange and academic development.
