On 16-17, of January 2026, we were delighted to welcome friends, partners, and members of our community to the Egyptian Cultural and Educational Bureau (ECEB) in Washington, D.C., for the official launch of a two-week exhibition that brings together heritage, technology, and creativity.
The opening was held under the auspices and in the presence of H.E. the Ambassador of Egypt, Ambassador Motaz Zahran, and Mrs Ambassador, and it was truly special to see ambassadors, diplomats, scientists, academics, and members of the Egyptian-American community all gathered in one place to celebrate culture, knowledge, and innovation.
The exhibition shows how technology and immersive experiences can help us see Egyptian heritage in new ways—allowing us to step back in time and experience history as if we were there.
We are especially proud of this collaboration with Virginia Tech, and we sincerely thank Dr. Eiman El-Gewely for her inspiring presentation and for sharing her work, which beautifully connects cultural heritage with immersive and digital technologies.
Our warm thanks also go to our wonderful partners, Apex Elite Schools, for their continuous support of our cultural and educational activities, and to EgyptAir, our national carrier, for always helping connect Egypt with the world.
A special thank-you as well to Sherin Kitchen for the delicious Egyptian food that added warmth and a true taste of home to the evening. Specialappreciation to my colleagues Dalia, Ahmed, and Mostafa for all the support you provide continuously.
شهد المكتب الثقافي والتعليمي المصري (ECEB) بواشنطن العاصمة هذا بعد أجواءً مميزة خلال الافتتاح الرسمي لمعرض جمع بين التراث والتكنولوجيا والإبداع في مساحة واحدة ملهمة.
وجاء الافتتاح تحت رعاية وحضور معالي سفير جمهورية مصر العربية معتز زهران والسيدة هالة يوسف حرم سعادة السفير، وكان رائعا أن نرى هذا الحضور المتنوع من السفراء وأعضاء السلك الدبلوماسي والعلماء والأكاديميين وأبناء الجالية المصرية-الأمريكية، جميعهم مجتمعين للاحتفاء بالثقافة والمعرفة والابتكار.
ونفخر كثيرًا بهذا التعاون المتميز مع جامعة فرجينيا تك، ونتقدم بخالص الشكر والتقدير للدكتورة إيمان الجويلي على عرضها الملهم، وعلى جهودها في الربط بين التراث الثقافي والتقنيات الرقمية والتفاعلية.
كما نتوجه بجزيل الشكر لشركائنا الداعمين مدارس Apex Elite على دعمهم المتواصل لأنشطة المكتب الثقافية والتعليمية، ولشركة مصر للطيران – الناقل الوطني – لدورها الدائم في ربط مصر بالعالم.
وشكر خاص أيضًا إلى مطبخ شيرين (Sherin Kitchen) على المأكولات المصرية الشهية التي أضفت دفئًا خاصًا على الأمسية، وجسّدت روح وكرم الضيافة المصرية.
