On Friday 12 January, The Egyptian Cultural and Educational Bureau organized in collaboration with the American Research Center in Egypt a lecture entitled “Ancient Egyptian Women: Moving Beyond Gender Bias”. The lecture was presented by Dr. Maria Ayad, Associate Professor of Egyptology at AUC. The large audience that attended the lecture praised the topic and enjoyed the discussions. This lecture is the first of a series about Egyptian women through the ages. Stay tuned to follow the upcoming ones.

في 12 يناير، نظم المكتب الثقافي المصري بالتعاون مع مركز البحوث الأمريكي محاضرة بعنوان "المرأة المصرية القديمة: تجاوز التحيز الجنسي". ألقت المحاضرة الدكتورة مريم عياد أستاذ علم المصريات المساعد بالجامعة الأمريكية بالقاهرة. وقد حظيت المحاضرة بحضور كبير واستمتع الضيوف بالموضوع وبالمناقشات التي دارت حوله. وتعد المحاضرة الأولى في سلسلة محاضرات عن المرأة المصرية في العصور المختلفة.
