On May 5th, the Egyptian Cultural and Educational Bureau in Washington had the honor of participating in the second annual Signature Event at the President Woodrow Wilson House – Fashioning Power, Fashioning Peace 2025.
In coordination with the Embassy of the Arab Republic of Egypt in Washington, D.C., Egypt was proudly represented by a truly remarkable and original wedding dress from Siwa Oasis. This original piece stood out among the dresses showcased from across the globe, leaving a lasting impression on all attendees with its magical embroidery, authenticity, and deep cultural symbolism.
The event brought together ambassadors, diplomats, members of Congress, business leaders, and members of the media in a beautiful celebration of global identity and heritage through fashion. Egypt’s contribution, deeply rooted in tradition and craftsmanship, sparked admiration and thoughtful dialogue.
The Embassy of Egypt presented all guests with a special gift — original Egyptian papyrus, which was met with great admiration and appreciation.
We are proud to continue sharing Egypt’s diverse cultural legacy with the world, and grateful for the opportunity to take part in this distinguished gathering — alongside our Embassy to present Egypt not just as a nation of ancient heritage, but also of living beauty and timeless artistry.
في الخامس من مايو، تشرف المكتب الثقافي والتعليمي المصري في واشنطن بالمشاركة في الفعالية السنوية الثانية المتميزة التي نظمها بيت الرئيس وودرو ويلسون تحت عنوان "Fashioning Power, Fashioning Peace 2025".
وبالتنسيق مع سفارة جمهورية مصر العربية في واشنطن، تم تمثيل مصر في هذا الحدث الراقي من خلال فستان زفاف أصلي من واحة سيوة، وهو قطعة تراثية أصلية تميزت بزخارفها السحرية وأصالتها، ما جعلها محط إعجاب الزوار ولفتت الأنظار وسط فساتين زفاف ممثلة لدول متعددة من حول العالم.
وقد شهد الحدث حضورًا رفيع المستوى ضم عددًا من السفراء والدبلوماسيين وأعضاء الكونغرس الأمريكي ورجال وسيدات الأعمال وممثلي وسائل الإعلام، حيث كان الاحتفاء بالهوية الثقافية والتنوع من خلال الأزياء سمة هذا اللقاء الراقي.
كما قدمت السفارة المصرية هدية مميزة لجميع الحضور تمثلت في برديات مصرية أصلية، وهو ما كان موضع تقدير وإعجاب كبير من كافة الضيوف.
