The Egyptian Cultural and Educational Bureau in Washington, D.C. was delighted to participate in the Pan-African Fabric Fashion Show, held on October 26 at the Smithsonian National Museum of African Art in Washington, D.C.

The event celebrated the "Pan-African Fabric", a unique textile incorporating nine symbols representing nine African countries, including Egypt—bringing different cultural identities together through a shared contemporary African design.

Egypt was represented through three contemporary fashion pieces designed by MOJA Studio, founded by Egyptian designers Mohamed Khafajy and Jasmin AbdelWahab. Known for their distinctive approach to contemporary fashion inspired by Ancient Egyptian art, heritage, and visual language, the designers created pieces that blended elements of Egypt’s ancient cultural legacy with the Pan-African Fabric in a modern and creative interpretation.

سعد المكتب الثقافي والتعليمي المصري بواشنطن بالمشاركة في عرض أزياء النسيج الأفريقي (Pan-African Fabric Fashion Show)، الذي أُقيم يوم ٢٦ أكتوبر بمتحف سميثسونيان الوطني للفن الأفريقي في واشنطن العاصمة.

احتفى العرض بـ النسيج الأفريقي الموحّد (Pan-African Fabric)، وهو نسيج متميز يضم تسعة رموز تمثل تسع دول أفريقية، من بينها مصر، ليجمع بين الهويات والثقافات المختلفة في تصميم أفريقي معاصر ومشترك.

وجاءت المشاركة المصرية من خلال ثلاث قطع أزياء معاصرة من تصميم MOJA Studio للمصممين المصريين محمد خفاجي وياسمين عبد الوهاب، اللذين يتميز أسلوبهما بتقديم تصميمات عصرية تستلهم الفن والتراث واللغة البصرية للحضارة المصرية القديمة. وقد نجح المصممان في دمج عناصر مستوحاة من التراث المصري القديم مع النسيج الأفريقي في رؤية حديثة ومبتكرة.
