Strengthening Egypt–U.S. Academic Collaboration with South Dakota State University

It was a pleasure to meet with representatives of South Dakota State University (SDSU) to explore opportunities for expanding academic and research collaboration between Egypt and the United States.

Our discussions focused on establishing strategic partnerships in areas of mutual interest, including joint research initiatives, faculty and student exchange, dual and joint academic programs, capacity building, and professional development. We also explored opportunities to enhance collaboration in research, innovation, and interdisciplinary education while fostering stronger institutional ties between SDSU and Egyptian universities.

تناول اللقاء فرص إقامة شراكات استراتيجية في المجالات ذات الاهتمام المشترك، بما في ذلك البحوث المشتركة، وتبادل أعضاء هيئة التدريس والطلاب، والبرامج الأكاديمية المشتركة والمزدوجة، وبناء القدرات، والتطوير المهني. كما ناقشنا آفاق التعاون في مجالات البحث العلمي، والابتكار، والتعليم متعدد التخصصات، بما يسهم في توطيد العلاقات المؤسسية بين جامعة ولاية ساوث داكوتا والجامعات المصرية.

Celebrating Egyptian Children's Literature in the United States

It was a great pleasure to meet with the distinguished Egyptian children's author Samah Aboubakr Ezzat, one of the leading voices in Arabic children's and young adult literature, to discuss organizing a book reading and cultural event in the United States for her latest book, "The Golden Dream."

Our meeting explored opportunities to introduce young readers, educators, and families in the United States to contemporary Egyptian children's literature through an engaging reading session and interactive discussions that celebrate storytelling, creativity, and cultural exchange.

The Egyptian Cultural and Educational Bureau (ECEB) is committed to promoting Egyptian literature and culture while fostering dialogue and understanding through educational and cultural initiatives. We look forward to welcoming Ms. Samah Aboubakr Ezzat and sharing The Golden Dream with audiences across the United States.

سعدتُ بلقاء الكاتبة المصرية المتميزة في أدب الطفل والناشئة سماح أبو بكر عزت، إحدى أبرز الكاتبات في مجال أدب الطفل العربي، لبحث تنظيم فعالية لقراءة ومناقشة كتابها الجديد "الحلم الذهبي" في الولايات المتحدة.

تناول اللقاء سبل تنظيم فعالية ثقافية تستهدف الأطفال والأسر والمعلمين والمهتمين بالأدب، بهدف التعريف بالأدب المصري المعاصر للأطفال من خلال جلسة قراءة تفاعلية، وحوار يبرز أهمية القراءة والإبداع والتبادل الثقافي.

ويواصل المكتب الثقافي والتعليمي المصري بواشنطن (ECEB) التزامه بدعم الأدب والثقافة المصرية وتعريف المجتمع الأمريكي بالإبداعات المصرية، من خلال تنظيم فعاليات ثقافية وتعليمية تسهم في بناء جسور التواصل بين الثقافات.

Strengthening Educational Leadership Partnerships Between Egypt and Florida Atlantic University

On July 10th, It was a pleasure to meet with Dr. Maysaa Barakat, Professor in the Department of Educational Leadership and Research Methodology at Florida Atlantic University (FAU), to discuss opportunities for strengthening educational collaboration between Egypt and the United States.

Our discussion focused on expanding partnerships in educational leadership, faculty and student exchange, professional development, joint research, and capacity building. We also explored opportunities to build on Dr. Barakat's longstanding engagement with Egypt through collaborative initiatives that support educational excellence, leadership development, and innovation.

It was a pleasure to meet with representatives of the University of Arkansas, Fayetteville, to discuss opportunities for expanding academic collaboration between the university and Egyptian higher education institutions.

Our productive discussions focused on fostering partnerships in areas of mutual interest, including student and faculty mobility, joint academic and research initiatives, capacity building, and the development of collaborative educational programs. We also explored opportunities to strengthen engagement in innovation, entrepreneurship, and interdisciplinary research while promoting meaningful academic exchange.

تناول اللقاء فرص توسيع مجالات التعاون ذات الاهتمام المشترك، بما في ذلك تبادل الطلاب وأعضاء هيئة التدريس، وإطلاق مبادرات أكاديمية وبحثية مشتركة، وبناء القدرات، وتطوير البرامج التعليمية التعاونية. كما ناقشنا فرص تعزيز التعاون في مجالات الابتكار وريادة الأعمال والبحوث متعددة التخصصات، بما يسهم في تعزيز التبادل الأكاديمي بين الجانبين.

Building Bridges Through Education: Welcoming the Future Leaders of Tomorrow بناء جسور المعرفة: المكتب الثقافي والتعليمي المصري يرحب بقادة المستقبل

Over the past five weeks, the Egyptian Cultural and Educational Bureau (ECEB) in Washington, D.C., had the privilege of welcoming more than 200 outstanding young interns participating in the "Leadership Initiative Internship Program".

Through a series of engaging and interactive sessions, we introduced the interns to the role of the ECEB as one of the technical offices of the Embassy of the Arab Republic of Egypt, highlighting our mission in strengthening educational, academic, and cultural cooperation between Egypt and the United States.

The program also provided an opportunity to showcase Egypt's rich history, vibrant culture, and exciting developments in higher education, while introducing participants to the "Study in Egypt" initiative and the diverse academic opportunities offered by Egyptian universities.

We are proud to have connected with such an inspiring group of future leaders and look forward to continuing to build bridges of knowledge, cultural understanding, and international collaboration.

على مدار خمسة أسابيع، تشرف المكتب الثقافي والتعليمي المصري بواشنطن باستقبال أكثر من ٢٠٠ متدرب ومتدربة من المشاركين في برنامج Leadership Initiative Internship Program.

وخلال مجموعة من اللقاءات التفاعلية، تعرف المشاركون على دور المكتب الثقافي والتعليمي المصري باعتباره أحد المكاتب الفنية التابعة لسفارة جمهورية مصر العربية في واشنطن، والدور الذي يقوم به في تعزيز التعاون الأكاديمي والتعليمي والثقافي بين مصر والولايات المتحدة.

كما أتيحت الفرصة لتعريف المشاركين بالحضارة المصرية العريقة والثقافة المصرية الغنية، واستعراض التطورات التي يشهدها قطاع التعليم العالي في مصر، إلى جانب التعريف بمبادرة "ادرس في مصر" وما توفره الجامعات المصرية من برامج أكاديمية وفرص تعليمية متميزة للطلاب الدوليين.

نفخر بهذه الفرصة التي أتاحت لنا التواصل مع هذا الجيل الواعد من القادة الشباب، ونتطلع إلى استمرار بناء جسور المعرفة والتفاهم الثقافي والتعاون الدولي.
