بمناسبة ذكرى وفاة نجيب محفوظ نظم المكتب الثقافي التعليمي المصري بواشنطن ندوة عن الأديب. أدارت الندوة أ.د. هبه محمود الملحق الثقافي حيث استضافت د. ريم بسيوني الأستاذ بالجامعة الأمريكية والأديبة، ومن خلال المناقشة ألقت الضيفة الضوء على أعمال نجيب محفوظ وسمات أسلوبه الأدبي.

The Egyptian Cultural and Educational Bureau-Washington DC organized a symposium about Nagib Mahfouz on his death anniversary (30 August. The Cultural Attache, Prof. Heba Mahmoud, moderated the discussion with the guest Dr. Reem Basiouny, the Professor at AUC and author. Through the discussion, the guest shed light on the works of Nagib Mahfouz and his writing style.

Prof. Heba M. Saad organized- on 18 August- an online meeting with prof. Mohammad Attallah, the
treasurer of the Association of Egyptian-American Scholars. They discussed the cooperation between
the members of the association and their home-country, and the suggestions and plans for organizing
the upcoming annual conference of the association to celebrate its 50 th anniversary.
