شاركت أ.د. هبه محمود الملحق الثقافي ومدير المكتب الثقافي التعليمي بواشنطن في المؤتمر الخمسون و الاحتفال باليوبيل الذهبي لرابطه العلماء المصريين بامريكا و كندا والذي عقد بالجامعه الامريكيه في القاهرة في 28 -29 ديسمبر حيث عرضت أنشطة المكتب الثقافي لتحقيق التعاون بين الجامعات المصرية ونظيرتها الأمريكية، والتعاون بين الرابطة والمكتب الثقافي، ودور العلماء المصريين ومشاركتهم في تطوير البحث العلمي والتعاون بين البلدين.

في 20 ديسمبر نظم المكتب الثقافي التعليمي بواشنطن محاضرة بمناسبة اليوم العالمي للغة العربية ؛ حيث قدم الأستاذ زهاد صبري منسق برنامج ادرس بالخارج في جامعة أوسلو محاضرة عن أهمية اللغة العربية، وتفردها عن اللغات الأخرى، وتأثيرها على كثير من اللغات الأجنبية. كما عرض تجربة تدريس اللغة العربية للأجانب في جامعة أوسلو من خلال طرق مبتكرة وتفاعلية.

On 20 December, The Egyptian Cultural and Educational Bureau organized a lecture to celebrate World Arabic Language Day. The lecture was presented by Zehad Sabri, the Arabic instructor and Study Abroad Coordinator at the University of Oslo who highlighted the importance of Arabic and its uniqueness as a language and its influence on other languages. He also presented his experience in teaching Arabic at the University of Oslo to foreign students using new interactive methods. 

The Egyptian Cultural and Educational Bureau in Washington- DC welcomed a visit of a group of high school students from Parkmont School together with their teacher Ms Regan Wind as part of their study of Comparative Government Class. The students were interested in learning about Egypt and discussing topics related to their study. The cultural attaché Prof. Heba Saad presented an overview of Egypt, its history, traditions, customs, and heritage highlights. Then, she invited the students to visit the bureau museum which exhibits replicas of ancient Egyptian masterpieces.
